Talk Heal - Book Discussion Group
Our spirituality is
personal and develops from our life experience. It focuses on those
values that we hold to be most important. Our spirituality reflects
the meaning and purpose we find in our lives. It also reflects our
desire to live out of a place of wholeness. We live as whole and
healed individuals when we move toward healthy relationships with
ourselves, others, creation and the sacred. Some of us develop our
spirituality through religious beliefs, others find their
inspiration in nature, music, art or in serving others. Whatever
the source of our spiritual growth, it can strengthen us, connect us
with others and provide help and healing in difficult times. Join
us as we gather monthly to share in a discussion of a recent book
that may bring new insights to our spiritual journey. Each
discussion will begin with a brief review of the book and will
follow with questions to guide our discussion. It is not necessary
to have read the book in order to participate.

Walking Meditation Class for Cancer Patients and Survivors
Walking meditation is a wonderful practice!
When we do walking meditation, we walk a little slower than our
normal pace, and we coordinate our breathing with our steps. The
purpose of walking meditation is to be in the present moment,
aware of our breathing, our walking, and to enjoy every step.
Shaking off all worries and anxieties; not thinking about the
future, not thinking about the past, just enjoying the present
moment. The class will begin by warming up with Qigong; a
holistic system of self-healing exercise and meditation,
commencing with walking, and then ending with a Chinese energy
movement of So Jing. Join our volunteer facilitator Marilyn
